Frequently Asked

Q
Is this a mandatory program?
No. Braveheart Standard is entirely voluntary. Selection is competitive, not punitive.
Q
What if my unit has a mission conflict?
Mission comes first, always. We coordinate with unit leadership before the cohort begins to identify potential conflicts. Soldiers are not penalized for legitimate training or operational requirements.
Q
I have a low AFT score. Should I still apply?
Absolutely. The program is designed to improve your score. We want motivated soldiers, not perfect ones.
Q
Can NCOs and Officers be in the same cohort?
Yes, intentionally. The complementary perspective between enlisted and officers is a feature, not a bug. Learning to speak each other's language is a leadership skill.
Q
What happens if I miss sessions?
Life happens. One missed session per month is understood. Chronic absences are addressed by your mentor and may result in removal. The program's integrity depends on everyone being present.
